HELPING OTHERS

Our way of helping those that don’t have a voice and, far too often, are left abandoned or mistreated.

10% of all pennies received will be donated to two animal shelters that are always scrambling to keep up with day-to-day operating costs in helping those that are helpless.

Small Victories Rodent Rescue

Based in Montreal, Small Victories Rodent Rescue is a no-kill foster-based refuge for unwanted small animals. We started out with rats, who need our help and advocacy the most, and we branched out to other small animals as volunteers brought in their
experience and interests. We aim to improve attitudes towards rodents as pets by giving them the necessary vet care and appropriate housing, food, and exercise, and finding good foster and forever homes for our protegés via education and screening.

SPCA (The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)

Guided by the humane ethic, it is the mission of the Canadian S.P.C.A. to:

* Protect animals against negligence, abuse, and exploitation;
* Represent their interests and ensure their well-being;
* Raise public awareness and help develop compassion for all living creatures.

Our role is to prevent cruelty against animals through a number of actions which profit both animals and humans. We help prevent animal cruelty by doing the following:

* Receiving nearly 24 000 abandoned animals each year;
* Educating the public about the benefits of sterilisation;
* Advising people when adopting animals;

* Preventing impulsive adoption

" The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated."  - Mahatma Gandhi
